  1. This was an especially good one for me. I have yearned for one of these mattresses since the moment they came on the market and I tried one out in a store. Heaven! They were out of my price range, however, initially about as expensive as they are today — despite the difference in the economy as a whole in the intervening years.

    I am a side sleeper, so it was great to read that I could consider a thinner, thus cheaper, mattress. It just might get it into my home faster. Thanks.

    It occurs to me, as I get older myself, that another consideration would be how long we expect the mattress to serve us. Seniors, or empty-nesters who expect to be downsizing in a few years, may not need a long-lasting mattress for the king-sized beds they won’t be taking with them, for example.
